LG Washer UE Error: Rebalance the Load Safely
THE SHORT ANSWER
The washer cannot balance the load for spinning.
UE indicates that the washer cannot distribute the load evenly for spinning. A bunched, very small or oversized load can cause it; an unlevel machine can contribute.
Pause and wait for the drum to stop before redistributing the load.
Do not reach into a moving drum or brace a violently shaking washer. Pause it and keep clear.
WHAT YOU MAY NOTICE
Symptoms to record
- Spin does not complete normally
- Laundry bunches to one side
UNDERSTAND THE POSSIBILITIES
Causes & useful observations
A code identifies a condition. It does not, by itself, confirm which part needs repair.
| Possible cause | What to look for | Safe check / next step |
|---|---|---|
| Bunched laundry | Heavy items collect together | Untangle and distribute items. |
| Unsuitable load size | A single heavy item or tightly packed drum | Adjust the load to the manual’s guidance. |
| Unstable installation | Washer rocks when stationary | Have leveling corrected safely. |
WORK THROUGH THE BASICS
Safe troubleshooting checks
Use the checkboxes to keep track as you read. Stop at any warning or step that does not match your appliance.
Spread laundry around the drum and separate tangled items.
What to noteWeight should be distributed more evenly.
Check care labels and use the appropriate available cycle for bulky items. Avoid a tightly packed laundry net.
What to noteItems should be suitable for machine washing.
When stopped, assess whether the washer sits securely. Use installation instructions for leveling.
What to notePersistent imbalance warrants service rather than repeated retries.
THE DETAILS MATTER
Scope & troubleshooting notes
Model differences
Cycle labels differ. Use a bulky-item program only if your own washer provides it; a generic cycle name is not a universal button sequence.
YOUR NEXT DECISION
When to stop and get help
Arrange service if reasonable loads remain unbalanced after the installation is checked.
DOCUMENTED COMPATIBILITY
Verified model relationships
These exact models have a documented relationship to this code. An unlisted model is not automatically compatible.
